Man arrested after flashing knife in West Oak Trails

A male suspect has been arrested after police say he flashed a knife at someone in West Oak Trails area last week.

A male suspect has been arrested after police say he flashed a knife at someone in the West Oak Trails area.

On Aug. 15 at approximately 9:15 p.m., police received a call in the area of Postmaster Drive and Pine Glen Road.

According to Halton Police Media Relations Officer Ryan Anderson, the complainant informed police that a male suspect had flashed a knife at them, no injuries were reported.

Officers responded to the scene, where they located and arrested a 28-year-old Oakville man. A knife was found near the suspect.

The male suspect has since been charged with Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose.
