Despite the second week of fewer crime cases in Oakville, multiple hit and run cases were reported this past week

Halton Regional Police responded to 33 crime incidents in Oakville, from Feb. 12-18, 2025. Crime numbers dropped by 5.71 percent.

Tuesday, February 18 was the busiest day, with 11 reported incidents. QEW Midtown Core residents reported most crimes in this period (eight in total).

In addition, 11 incidents of Hit & Run from vehicles were reported. In the past seven days, Halton Police responded to one bicycle theft. If this rate stayed consistent, there would be 36 incidents a year. Over the last 30 days, there have been four bicycle thefts throughout the neighbourhood.

Over the last six months, 66 bicycle thefts in Oakville were reported. In the past year, there were 114.
