Oakville driver charged with impaired driving in Puslinch

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario court of justice.

A driver from Oakville will go to court after police laid charges during a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) program on Highway 6 South in Puslinch.

On Sept. 13, 2024, at approximately 11:45 p.m. officers from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Wellington County Detachment were conducting a RIDE program on Highway 6 South in Puslinch.

During the operation, a vehicle was stopped, and the driver was assessed for sobriety. As a result of the investigation, Matthew B. Nordien, 32 years-old of Oakville, was charged with:

  • Operation While Impaired - alcohol and drugs contrary to the Criminal Code
  • Operation While Impaired - blood alcohol concentration 80 plus contrary to the Criminal Code

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario court of justice - Guelph, at a later date.
