Police report $15,000 in damages at Oakville park

Palermo Park was targeted earlier this week after eight light fixtures had their copper wiring stolen.

On Monday, April 8, 2024, police responded to reports that copper wiring was stolen from the light fixtures surrounding the baseball diamonds and Palermo Park, according to Halton Police Constable Jeff Dillon. 

Eight fixtures in total were damaged with an estimated cost of $15,000 in damages.

No arrests have been made and no suspect information is available at this time.

The exact date and time of the offences remain unknown.
