On January, 6, 2021, Halton Regional Police Service's Detective Constable Michael William Tidball passed away suddenly as the result of an acute medical episode. He was 39 years old.
Mike Tidball leaves to grieve his loving wife Kimberly, his son Colton (age 6) and daughter Kenzley (age 3), his father Bill Tidball, sister Maggie Lillicrop (Luke), nephew Jacob, niece Katie, Mother-In-Law, Lynn Hunter and Sister-In-Law, Tracy Hunter. Michael was predeceased by his twin brother, Russell (1997) and loving mother, Joyce (2019).
Michael was a family man and loved spending his time with Kim and his children. He will be fondly remembered for his fantastic sense of humour, contagious laugh and ability to make any social event a party. He was blessed with an incredible close knit group of friends who have become his extended family.
It was his lifelong dream of becoming a Police Officer and had the utmost respect and admiration for his Police family.
Mike was a fabulous person, with a wonderful personality who was loved by all, an excellent police officer and a friend to many. He will be greatly missed by all of us. Our hearts and support will always be there for Kim and their wonderful young children. - HRPS Chief S. Tanner

It is with great shock and sadness that we share with you that one of our veteran officers passed suddenly this morning while conducting an investigation, as a result of an acute medical episode.
Detective Constable Michael Tidball was a valued and well-loved member of the Halton Regional Police Service, having served in a variety of investigative and frontline patrol roles since he joined us in 2007.
We extend our sincerest condolences to Mike’s family and friends, and have offered our full support to them as they begin to grieve and heal.
His loss will leave a hole in our police family and in the Halton community-at-large.
The flags at the Halton Regional Police Service will fly at half-mast in his memory.
The family will receive friends for a memorial visitation at McKersie-Kocher Funeral Home located at 114 Main Street East in Milton, Ontario on Tuesday, January, 12 2021 and Wednesday, Jan. 13 2021 from 2-5 pm and 6-9 pm.
