The Buffalo Bills made a big move on March 10 by signing Oakville's own Michael Hoecht to a three-year $24 million contract on the first day of NFL free agency.
Hoecht made the news official on his X account (formerly known as Twitter), stating that he is "coming home."

This signing for Buffalo will bring them a fierce pass rusher who can to the quarterback quickly.

In his four years with the Los Angeles Rams, Hoecht totalled 13.5 sacks including six in the 2023 season.
During this past season, Hoecht recorded three sacks, 24 solo tackles, and 56 combined tackles.
Buffalo struggled to pressure the quarterback last season and that was shown in the AFC Championship game against Kansas City, so bringing in Hoecht will help booster a need for the Bills.
Hoecht is a very versatile player and can play both as an edge rusher or an interior lineman. He is also very durable as hasn't missed a football game since entering the league in 2021.
Hoecht also brings a winning pedigree to the Bills as he won the Super Bowl with the Rams back in 2022.
