Halton Police are investigating two separate cases of breaking and entering to Oakville homes last week that police believe may be connected.
On Wednesday, May 8, 2024, a residence in the area of Upper Middle Road and Eighth Line was targeted by several male suspects at around 12:00 p.m.
According to Halton Police Cst. Jeff Dillon, the door was forced open to the unoccupied home but nothing was taken.
The suspects are described as two males, wearing hoodies and medical masks driving a light-coloured pickup truck.
Shortly after at around 12:20 p.m., another home in the area of Eighth Line and Dundas was also targeted by several male suspects.
Cst. Jeff Dillon says the door to this home was also forced open and was unoccupied. A list of items taken has yet to be determined by police.
The first suspect is described as male, slim build, dark-coloured hoody, with a white medical mask. The second is described as male, with a slim build, light-coloured hoody, and white medical mask.
The driver of the vehicle could only be described as male.
Given the similarities of these incidents, investigators believe these occurrences may be related.
